Cameron Receives Endorsements of Business and Public Safety Groups

Salem, OR – Several local groups have endorsed Kevin Cameron in his race for Marion County Commissioner, position 1. They include Create Jobs PAC, Oregon Anti-Crime Alliance PAC, Salem Realtors Association, Marion County Farm Bureau, and AG-PAC. These groups join a growing list of organizations and local leaders who are supporting Cameron, including Sheriff Jason Myers, Rob Freres, Gladys Blum, Dick Withnell, Jose Gonzalez, Patti Milne, Stuart Olson and Kevin Mannix.

“Living, working and being a public servant in Marion County has deepened my desire to find better solutions, unite differing views and get things done that matter for local citizens,” said Cameron. “I promise to keep reaching out, showing up to meetings, listening and advocating for a better quality of life for all of us.”

Kevin Cameron has served the Salem community as an elected official for the past 9 and half years, as a State Representative, and currently as Marion County Commissioner. He is a member of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce. In June of 2012 he completed six years of service on the OSU Alumni Board. He received an Honorary Doctorate from Corban University in May 2011 and currently serves on Corban University’s Leadership and Political Engagement Advisory Board. Cameron and his wife Judy have resided in the Salem area for the past 26 years. They have two grown daughters.
