Happy Birthday America!

Some of you may know that I recently traveled to Indonesia with Corban University to witness and participate in the graduation of 233 teachers from UPH university in Jakarta. These teachers earned a duel accreditation from UPH and Corban University. It was an amazing trip and I participated in three “world briefings” while there. These briefings were educational in nature. I learned much about their government structure and the struggles they incur due to an unclear division of authority and high levels of corruption.

We were able to visit the US embassy and broke bread (lunch) with Ambassador Robert Blake. The discussion centered on education and the need for continued support from US colleges. Ambassador Blake was very appreciative of the service Corban is providing to UPH and the country of Indonesia.

After working through the jet lag the week I returned I was able to attend the Franklin Graham “Decision America 2016″ rally on the steps of the Oregon State Capitol. His call to our country to ask for forgiveness and turn to the Lord was inspiring. He called upon the audience to vote, be involved and run for public office. Personally, I was affirmed for the past 11 plus years of service and encouraged to continue in the future. Today, as I drove into the County office, I thought about my role and how thankful I am to be able to serve. Here is the link – https://decisionamericatour.com/tour/oregon/ – o photos from the day on the Capitol steps.

Blessings to you and your family this 4th of July weekend! We have everything to be thankful for living in this great country.

Warmly,
Kevin
