Oregon Political Tax Credit

December always brings with it the opportunity to look back and assess the year as it comes to a close and to look forward to the year ahead.  As I reflect on the past two years, I am moved by how our democratic system works.  While not perfect, the process of getting people involved in their government, going door to door, attending community events and providing town hall forums both in person and by phone helps to connect elected officials to the citizenry.  I am driven by the hope, the good will and desire of the people of this district, and our state, to keep our voice loud and clear.

The real work is ahead of us. The recent economic forecast indicates there is only a slight improvement in Oregon’s economy–over the last 12 months, we have created just over 3,000 new jobs, while 160,000 people remain unemployed. This is not acceptable. Stagnation is not a recovery.  Change is hard, but strong leadership must prevail in order to get back on track at all levels of government.

Beginning now and continuing through 2014 I will work diligently at the Capitol on common sense solutions to our budget crisis – reducing restrictions that inhibit job growth and restructure the way government budgets and spends.  I am energized to restore favor to the private sector job creators, and I will need your continued support.

Please consider making a monetary contribution to my campaign.  The Oregon Political Tax Credit opportunity is one of the many advantages of contributing to our efforts.  You can make a political contribution to a Political Action Committee (PAC) like mine of $50 per person or $100 per couple and receive the full amount back on your taxes.  By contributing to my PAC, you allow me to provide more communications to you throughout the year on important issues affecting our state, community, and families. You may send a contribution to Kevin Cameron for Oregon, 4742 Liberty Rd. S., Salem, OR  97302 or go to donate online by visiting the Donate Today section of this site.

My vision continues to focus on job creation, healthy schools and support for those truly in need.  I am committed to providing effective leadership that will restore a healthy economy and bring opportunities to all Oregonians for growth and prosperity.  Together we can address the challenges facing our community and state; and keep Oregon a great place to work and raise a family.

So please, if you are able, take advantage of your political tax credit and send it in before the end of the month.  You have until December 31st to make your contribution.  If you don’t, you lose it and you lost a chance to direct those tax dollars in a way that you want.   Thank you, Kevin
