Small Business Revolution on Main Street


May 3-10, 2016 is National Business Week and the City of Silverton is one of three finalists in the Small Business Revolution on Main Street contest and is competing against Wabash, Ind. and Elizabeth City, N.C.

You can help Silverton win by visiting the website smallbusinessrevolution.org during National Business Week.  Voting is done on a daily basis so you can vote every day from each of your devices or computer.  Be sure to watch Silverton’s video that has been posted.

The winning city will earn a prize worth $500,000 that includes: Website development, logo creation, email marketing, printed products and apparel and social media marketing for local businesses, plus $250,000 for physical updates to selected businesses which can include new business facades, landscaping, equipment, aesthetic updates and construction material.

Silverton Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Stacy Palmer said the win would be a huge boast for the city in terms of tourism and helping local businesses. And when local businesses do well, it helps the entire community, especially since so many businesses donate to local schools and charities.
